How I chose which shoes to take a gamble on
I am not a runner, but when I’m going to be on my feet all day I want a pair of comfy cozy shoes that support my feet, knees, and hips. I researched a whole bunch of shoes, taking recommendations and reviews from my audience on instagram, I compared additional reviews and pricing, and ended up making my best informed choice, and I’ve been super happy with it!
I will eventually include some of the other ones people suggested and their reasons why, but before I make you scroll through a long stretched out blog post, I’ll just give you the ones I went with! I wore them on a recent trip to Florida, ALL OVER Universal Studios for the LONGEST day ever.
Shoes for all shapes and sizes
One last thing, I’m not a dainty tiny lady. I weigh over 200 pounds, and these shoes needed to support the weight AND a weak ankle. I had an ankle injury just weeks prior so I really wanted something that was really steady and would support my ankle as well.
My choice for theme park shoes
My choice was, The Brooks Ghost 16! They are a NEUTRAL RUNNING / WALKING SHOE!

The Brooks Ghost 16 shoes have a solid heel, super stable sole, and real rubber on the bottom sole for non-slip. These shoes are available in lots of colors (I went with the color pictured here but they have some that are more colorful too!) They come in half and whole sizes AND they come in wide. I actually went with the wide, and it was a perfect fit! I will say if you have very wide feet, these “wide” ones might not be quite wide enough. I usually don’t need wide shoes, but the wide ones just felt more comfortable. Plus I’ve been trying to give my toes space in the toe box because I keep learning more and more about the benefits of a wide toe box! They seemed pretty true to size.
